Basingstoke artist Sian Storey to paint live in Festival Place’s THAT Gallery on Saturday November 3rd, 2018.
Art lovers are being invited to see acclaimed artist Sian Storey at work, as she paints live in Festival Place’s THAT Gallery on Saturday 3 November 2018. Sian is known for her enchanting paintings of birds and wildlife, and this is a rare opportunity to see first-hand how Sian’s art comes to life.
Visitors will have the opportunity to chat to Sian, and gain an insight into her inspirations and colourful creative techniques. Sian will be painting live between 10am – 4pm, and entry to the gallery is completely free. THAT Gallery can be found on the upper level opposite Apple.
Basingstoke-based Sian is looking forward to stepping outside of her studio and painting in the gaze of the public. She said “There's a real appetite for art in Basingstoke, but most of my customers have never seen how I make my paintings. For one day only, people will have the chance to come along and see my new paintings being created in person.”
Sian’s eye-catching art is already familiar to many in Basingstoke, as she painted two of the Sitting with Jane Book Benches which adorned the town during the Jane Austen celebrations last year.
Sian has also exhibited regularly in THAT Gallery, an artist-led gallery which has been ‘popping up’ in Festival Place since 2014. It exhibits the work of several talented and diverse local artists, and prides itself on being a gallery that everyone can enjoy, from art enthusiasts to casual collectors. THAT Gallery can currently be found on the upper level of Festival Place, opposite Apple until the end of 2018.
