The Japanese series continues...

I'm excited to reveal the latest in my ongoing series of Japanese-inspired paintings - 'Kyoto Skies'

The title ‘Kyoto Skies’ refers to the beautifully clear crisp blues of springtime in Japan that create a backdrop to the beauty of the Sakura season as well as the many tranquil gardens there.

A rectangular canvas sized at 30x100cm and 5cm depth, I used acrylic and spray paint to create this vibrant painting. The harmonious colours of seafoam green and blue provide a backdrop to the vivid colours of the hummingbirds in flight, and hot pink blossoms in bloom.
