The Sushi Maki, Newbury 2020

In May 2020, The Sushi Maki restaurant in Newbury, Berkshire approached me to give their acclaimed restaurant a makeover.

The popular sushi restaurant was moving into a new premises, and wanted a beautiful large mural to compliment the colour-scheme, ambience and Japan theme.

The solution was a striking geisha and maple leaf painting. A sparkling gold circle provides a dazzling focal point as the natural daylight streams into the restaurant. It’s a stunning effect, and I’ve even been contacted by diners at The Sushi Maki saying they couldn’t take their eyes off the mural.
