STREETS ALIVE, BASINGSTOKE 2022

A NEW OUTDOOR GALLERY FOR BASINGSTOKE

I was commissioned in spring 2022 to brighten up the streets of Basingstoke as part of the Streets Alive project. Painting directly onto street furniture around the top of town area, my paintings were inspired by the birds that can be spotted across Basingstoke and in Hampshire, including blue-tits, sparrows and kingfishers. Several other artists and poets have been involved too, adding their own creations to benches, planters and BT cabinets. The project has been embraced by the locals, bringing some much needed creativity and street art to the top of town area.
