ibis Sleep Art - Gallery Different London
In November 2014 I exhibited in Gallery Different, London, as part of the ibis hotels Sleep Art exhibition. This unique exhibition explored the link between sleep and creativity, and featured the work of 11 artists, including the awesome Carne Griffiths. The exhibition was curated by ibis hotels, in partnership with Beautiful Crime.
In October I had to spend a night in an ibis hotel in London, wake up, and create a work of art inspired by my sleep.. my dreams.. and those moments of creativity upon waking. I literally rolled out of bed and started painting.. the finished result was 'Kasumi,' (which is a Japanese word for morning mist / haze)
Alongside this, I created a work of art using the ibis Sleep Art app.. a fascinating app which creates a work of art based on your movement and noises during the night. Both artworks were exhibited at Gallery Different.
During the run up to the event, I was interviewed for the Independent on Sunday newspaper about my involvement in the exhibition.. with my interview and photo making print! Read the article below.
