"I’m a big fan of Sian’s art and have followed her on social media for some time. All of her work is stunning and I love the colours that she paints with.
I celebrated my 40th birthday last week and my mother-in-law Catherine told me that my birthday gift from her was going to be delivered to my door, but couldn’t tell me anything more as it was a surprise. I had no idea what it could be.
I unwrapped it - and it was the most beautiful painting! I’d mentioned to Catherine that I loved the orangutans that Sian had recently painted - ‘Compassion’ - and Catherine commissioned a bespoke piece for my birthday! It had been personally titled by Catherine, and had a lovely message hand written on the back by Sian.
It’s one of the most amazing presents I’ve ever received. I love that I’ll have this forever, and it’s something personal and unique that can be kept in our family.
We put it up on our living room wall the same evening. You notice it as soon as you walk into our house and we’ve received so many compliments on how beautiful it is. The colours are so vivid and eye catching, and the detail amazingly lifelike.
